U.S. Rep. Rodney Alexander, R-Quitman, has become an original co-sponsor of legislation that would terminate all federal funding to the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, known as ACORN.
“In light of new reports of probable criminal activity involving members of ACORN, a community-activist organization which receives millions in taxpayer funding each year, I became an original cosponsor of legislation titled the Defund ACORN Act,” Alexander said in a news release. …
Any organization that is engaged in illegal activity should not be receiving federal funding. Period. Well done, Mr. Alexander.
