“And now, in the dissonance that is being passed off as a debate about health-care reform, we have this: The “public option” touted by liberals and excoriated by conservatives is not a public option at all. It is a “consumer option,” dear people, so you can stop worrying…
This tactic — and it is a tactic — comes straight out of George Orwell’s playbook. In “Nineteen Eighty-Four,” his landmark novel from 1949, Orwell warns of a world where “war is peace,” “freedom is slavery” and “ignorance is strength.” …
Calling the public option a consumer option does nothing to alter the truth about what this Democrat regime says it will do, which is this: Insure everyone, and reduce the cost in the process.
Only in government can people turn such hypocrisy into logic…
Newspeak is the language Orwell uses and doublethink is the power “To tell deliberate lies … to forget any fact that has become inconvenient … to deny the existence of objective reality …”
The reality being denied begins and ends with this: The federal government cannot operate anything in a manner that requires fiscal acuity or common sense…
Disregard the things you know to be true. Ignorance is strength.”
