Stand Up For States’ Rights
Whereas the 10th Amendment to the United States Constitution provides that powers not specifically delegated to the federal government or explicitly prohibited by it to the states are reserved to the States, or to the people.
And whereas the federal government has overstepped its bounds with a healthcare policy that clearly violates this fundamental principle.
We the undersigned urge members of the Louisiana Legislature to reject any effort to force Governor Jindal and/or Louisiana's Attorney General to withdraw from the lawsuit aimed at protecting our state's rights as protected by the U.S. Constitution.

I believe in the freedom that our forefathers set up for us in the constitution. I do not want big government, huge deficits, and being told by the feds or state what I must pay for. We live in the land of freedom and do not want our freedoms taken away.
Let the majority voice of not only those that live in Louisiana but all Americans be heard in continuing with this lawsuit against the federal government’s take over of our healthcare system. It is a direct violation of our sovereign states rights. We must continue our pilgrimage to maintain the integrity of our constitution. A former teacher, I am an 81 year old widow with little help to offer, but I do pray for all who are struggling to stop this Octopos of government takeover. We are again experiencing taxation without representation. Washington does not listen to the American people, and has ignored States Rights as if they do not exist. It is no longer a government by the people, nor for the people. The people must unite to stop it! It is not going away. Our voices must be very loud!
I don’t want this Country to be a Socalist Country. I realize I receive Medicare but I don’t care if the program is scrapped and a low cost Insurance policy is put in place by a private concern. I think the Gov should be out of the healthcare business all together except to oversee the poor and handicapped people.
Our constitution was formulated and signed to protect the people in this new world, to prevent things like the health care bill being jamed down our throats. Our forefathers did leave a continent that over ran the people. Hense, the new world, the Bill of Rights and the Constitution for the free world, The United States. For All!! Power was not meant to be contained by few, making us dependent and helpless on the government.. We are to be United Together, and Individually Strong!!! What is going on with our leaders? The world’s past proves that corruption has always had a bad ending. Our leaders are influenced by the power they think they own, the people are still the larger number, we need to speek up, be loud and clearly heard. Let me be one of that group!
I request that nothing be mandated that requires LA’s governor or AT to withdraw Louisiana from the lawsuit that challenges the right of the federal government to require us to have health insurance or otherwise be penalized with a fine.

The Obama administration has exceeded their legal position. They have increased substantially the debt and will contiue to do so. This will ultimately cause a sever financial problem for the whole country. In effect, he is destroying the country by increasing the debt.
In addition, President Obama has refused to release his true birth certificate. If he cannot or will not provide this document, then he must be removed from office because he can only be President if he was born in the USA.

Yale, Harvard and other Ivy League Collages are totally corrupted. They teach the Constitution is Dead – We, the people disagree! A man (or woman) who swares the oath – with their word – to defend and protect the Constitution – so help them God – then call it a “Liquid” document, needing to be replaced? WE do not agree, but rather call for the resignations from those who pursue that course. WE believe in God, and beg to retain the Constitution – in its simpicity! The Oath or word given to defend something they say is fluid or liquid actually says their word won’t hold water!
We believe
- Bill of Rights still valid
- We are a Republic, the State retains full rights, decisions, and consequenses
- Our representives should vote OUR morals, ethics and beliefs – OUR vote, not their “Party”
- Fear and respect God in all done and decisions made
- All our lives from cenception to death is sacred unless forfited and prosecuted in a court of law for proven feloneous acts
- Our country is sovereign, not a player on the “Global Scene”. This is not a game or classroom exercise – our rights and country hang in the real balance.
- Taxation without the approval of us, the people is wrong.
- All Bills to be passed should be clear, concise and to the point – not be embedded or containing “other” issues snuck in.
The Hate Crimes Bill, Health Care, Marriage and family bills, etc – need to be challanged and returned to the basics!
YES, challange and fight to end the tyrancy on the loose in Washington!
I DON’T BELIEVE THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD MAKE THE CITIZENS OF AMERICA COMPLY WITH THE HEALTH BILL. WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE DECISIONS FOR OURSELVES CONCERNING OUR HEALTH INSURANCE.
THE HEALTH BILL WAS NOT EVEN READ BY EVERYONE BEFORE THEY VOTED. IT WAS PUSHED ON THE PEOPLE WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE OR THOUGHTFUL STUDY OF IT. IT SHOULD NOT BE PUSHED ON THE STATES TO COMPLY WITH BIG GOVERNMENT. THIS LAW IS NOT CONSTITUTIONAL.
Please vote against HRC71. We’re depending on you to represent us unlike what is happening in D.C.
Any State Legislator that votes to withdraw from this law suit will not get my vote or any one else I can reach.
I think we are losing our country one step at a time and it’s time to regain our rights before it’s too late.

Yesterday, April 5, I took my three year old grandson to the State Capitol to go up in the tower, which of course, is still closed. Behind schedule. I ran up on an acquintance who is a political commentator and introduced him to my grandson Cameron. I told him that Cameron was calling the building the State CASTLE to which my friend said, “Sometimes the occupants see it that way too!!!!”

If we are not able to fight what is unconstitutional, we will just be led like sheep to the slaughter. The federal government has overstepped it’s bounds and wants to write legislation to “control the people”.

We should challenge this bill to the fullest extent. It was done on a Sunday in an underhanded manner. This is the kind of character we are dealing with. If it is declared unconstitutional, we should push to have Obama impeached before he intelligently manuvers any other part of our government. The man taught constitutional law for many years, he knows exactly what he is doing. IT HAS TO BE CHALLENGED!!!!!!
Like many of you I have voted in every election and when things didn’t go like I had hoped when I voted would mumble and gripe and go about my average every day life. But it has gotten to a point where I can no longer just gripe to friends and family and feel like I need to make my voice heard today as this country is pointed in a direction that I know is making our Founding Fathers spin in their graves. It is time for everyone else out there like me to stand up and say enough is enough. It’s time to take an active roll by calling and writing our representatives and letting them all know that their current behavior is unacceptable.
I do not want the government telling me I have to buy anything, including health insurance!!!!!!!
This health insurance bill has more to do with power to the Federal Government over the rights of the individual citizens of this country…….

it appears to me that the progressive movement will not stop unless they derail the constitution and dictate to the people a socialist agenda that has destoyed every country in the world that has tried it on for size and will no doubt destroy this country if allowed to remain. our forefathers understood tyranny having a fresh taste in theirs mouths of their former governments. the sacred documents that we hold to be true were form out of their expiences. we must stand guard and fight to keep our God given right to freedom! Replacements are comming in 2011 and there will be reverse of change what use to work and now its not and we need to get back to very little Gov. and let people make the required adjustments not big Gov. Im one of the Independents that will make a difference when allowed.
Whatever happened to state’s rights? This health care plan is unconstitutional. Fight it PLEASE!!! all the way to the Supreme Court. I will certainly remember any Rep or state Sen who casts a vote to overturn this lawsuit.

It is with the deepest conviction that I feel we cannot allow any government to seize the control of our personnel rights. We have sent our young men to every corner of the world to help maintain our liberties and all we ask in return is a resting place for our dead. Now we have a want to be dictator trying to strip the rights our forefathers had in place and died to defend. It is time to put a stop to this total display or ignorance and violation of the constitution that this great nation was founded on. Vote to eliminate big government and hold them accountable to the standards they feel they should dictate to other business. If they can’t run this country in the black then take a cut in pay and benefits until you can. After all, we put them in office to voice the will of the people, not to force their will on us.
Any politician regardless of affiliation should be voted out of office if they can’t abide by the will of the people. I earn my money, not deadbeats who use the system to get paid for my hard work. Vote against any bill that gives the working mans money away. It is a free nation and I worked hard to get where I am at, and I fought for this country to insure that we maintain our freedom. This law that everyone is required to buy a product is against all that we as Americans hold dear. Our individual rights to Life is trampled by paying for abortions, Liberty, forcing us to buy insurance, and the Pursuit of Happiness, not a guarantee of happiness by the government. Everyone has a right to buy whatever he or she wants or needs, their ability to do so is limited by their desire only. If you want insurance, you may have to limit spending on other unnecessary things, TV’s, I-Phones, X-Boxes, Wii, new cars, boats, etc., etc.
Government needs to get out of our way and let us swim or sink on our own. It is our responsibility, not someone else’s to take care of our insurance, and everything else for that matter. Paying for college, your mortgage, bailing out banks, taking over Car manufacturers is not the role of government, cash for clunkers is another example. Stop spending money, start repaying debt or at least eliminate deficit spending.
The federal government which is supposed to protect and preserve our rights under the constution, is doing nothing but taking the same stradagy that adalf Hitler acomplished in his rise to power. If any one isn’t going to take this law which does nothing to make our health care any better or more effective, but only strips us of our rights as citizens need to get ready to be ruled by a tyrant and his cronnies and crooks. Now is the time to revolt and the state has the right to and the responsibility do it on our behalf. If I see any state offical try to advance the Obama agenda I will do what ever in my ability to see that he or her will never win another political position again.
Now is the time to hold our elected official accountable for our intrest and make sure the constition is fallowed to the letter. Our state is our last line of defence agaisnt a corrupt fedural government.
The new healthcare bill is unconstitutional.
1. Abuse of Authority – The actions of the Defendants are not within the scope of authority granted them by the U.S. Constitution.
2. Violation of 10th Amendment – The actions of the Defendants violate the explicit limitations in the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
3. Breach of Oath of Office – The actions of the Defendants represent a breach of the Defendants’ duties contained within their oaths of office to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution.
Its time to stand up for our rights. Get rid of this “Socialist” regime that seems to crawling up around us. If we don’t stop it now “BIg Brother” will be in control. What was wrong with the fredoms we have always had? They are slowly being cleared away. One morning we will wake and there won’t be any sunshine left in our lives. Lets get out and vote. Clear the roster of these wrong thinking politicians.
