Baton Rouge – In the wake of two ongoing scandals regarding the attempts of Obama’s allies and operatives to force Democrat candidates OUT of races in Colorado and Pennsylvania, one Louisiana newspaper is wondering aloud just what Barack Obama offered Charlie Melancon to get him IN to a race that every poll shows him losing decisively.

Everyone knows it was national Democrats who talked Melancon into a race he cannot possibly win, so one has to wonder just what cozy post-election job convinced Melancon to get in the race.  Melancon seems to have mastered the art of evasion recently as he’s refused to say how he would vote on Elena Kagan’s nomination to the Supreme Court or whether he would welcome Barack Obama to campaign in Louisiana on his behalf.  Will Melancon ever come clean about any discussions he’s had with Obama or his operatives about potential job offers?

Until he does we’re taking the question to you – what job would be a good fit for Melancon after his defeat this November?

Here’s how it works – just login to your Twitter account and type in your suggestion.  Be sure to include #guesscharliesjob in your message so your idea will be entered into our records and show up on www.guesscharliesjob.com.

Having trouble coming up with ideas? Here are a few we came up with:

Melancon could take another taxpayer-funded vacation to the South Pole as Ambassador to Antarctica.

He could become the Tax Hike Czar in charge of the astronomical tax increases the Democrats will propose to pay for all the new spending Melancon helped Obama pass.

He could be the official Card Check Checker if the legislation Melancon sponsored to allow union bosses to coerce employees into unions becomes law.

Or maybe he could babysit the monkeys who were given cocaine in a study funded by the “stimulus” plan Melancon voted for.

These are just a few suggestions but we’d really like to hear your ideas so visit www.guesscharliesjob.com and post your ideas to Twitter.

“Many conservative Louisianains wish we could immediately relieve Melancon of his supporting role for Barack Obama’s liberal agenda, but unfortunately we’ll have to wait until November,” said Republican Party of Louisiana Communications Director Aaron Baer.  “As long as Melancon’s got his good buddy in the White House there will always be opportunities for him, so we thought we’d make a few suggestions to Obama on how to best utilize Melancon once he’s removed from elected office.”
